Teenager (from 13 to 19 years old) is a transitional stage of childhood and adulthood. This is the stage wherein they are very self-conscious as they develop and mature into what we call “young adults”. For teen girls, clothing is one of the top purchases they make. They might not be able to afford expensive or famous designer clothing but for a fashionable teen girl, she is well aware of the brand names.
The number one factor that influences teenager’s choice in fashion is the media such as music and movie artists. There is a certain artist that a teenager is looking up to and zealously follow her style. Other than this, magazine can also influence teenagers fashion. There are several magazines that updates them with the latest fashion and styles.
Teenager’s friends can as well influence her fashion. They may give out advices on the latest fashion tip or suggest a better outfit for her. A friend is a friend… She may know what’s best for her or may help her dress to impress.
These influences to teenagers fashion are just normal. It is normal for teenagers to experiment different identities because they are in a stage of curiosity. Curious of what would be the right girls dressup for them. Being a teenager is one of a kind stage of their lives. To all the teens out there, enjoy that moment for it only happens once in a lifetime.
